Overview

Families highly recommend the Fairfield Inn & Suites Athens, located in the heart of the city. The rooms are incredibly spacious and can easily fit a family of two adults and three children; however, upgraded suites are available and recommended for families of more than five members. Each room comes stocked with a microwave and coffee maker, and the latter is restocked daily. Children will have a wonderful time cooling off from the Alabama heat in the outdoor pool, and family members sixteen and over will enjoy use of the fitness center.

Perfect stop on the way to Gulf Coast from Indiana

by IUFAN2000

2 BR Queen Room was quiet, clean, comfortable, good TV, small frig, coffee maker and microwave. Front desk is friendly and professional. Nice variety of choices for the warm breakfast the next morning - tasty breakfast food and drinks were closely attended by staff. Great location off of I-65 with several decent restaurants within walking distance such as Ruby Tuesdays and Logans. Appropriate messages displayed about "every towel counts." Accumulated Marriott rewards points and used AAA discount to help with the cost. We make it a point to stay here.

Second Stay

We stayed here a second time on July 4th. We were not disappointed. We were told on check in that we could see the towns fireworks display from the back deck. We were able to and enjoyed it. The front desk staff was attentive and kind. The breakfast was as usual, very good. This hotel has easy interstate access. The rooms are clean and just what we needed for the night.
