Clean and friendly hotel

by Amy M

We stayed here for our last trip to Orlando. My husband had a conference at the Orange County Convention Center and this hotel had a shuttle to the conference. The rooms were good and clean. Breakfast had lots of options and was tasty each morning. My biggest complaint is the shuttle service to the Disney parks. It took me 1.5 hours to get the to Hollywood Studios using their shuttle. I know that the hotel does not run this shuttle, but it might be time to look at other options. If you plan on staying here, I would suggest getting a rental car or taking a Lyft.

Pleasant Surprise

This was our first time staying @ a Marriott hotel as our go to hotels were full. As soon as walking into the lobby we were greeted by a nice gentleman @ the door. Guided us to the front desk. The woman at the front desk was exceptionally friendly, using our first names. Seeing that we had a teen traveling w/us, she upgraded our room to a larger room so we'd have more space since we had booked for 8 nights. All the staff from front desk, doorman, cleaning lady, the nice guy filling the coffee machine were extremely friendly & helpful. We had a question & the guy didn't know answer, however he went to find someone who could answer it immediately. The rooms were very clean & comfortable. All areas of the hotel were well maintained. The pool area was very nice. We especially enjoyed the village area, very nice seating/outside dining area. Nice sub shop & grill and Starbucks! It was very nice to have that area to walk at night. The one & only complaint - the free breakfast....nothing special. Typical hotel food. It was the same thing Every single morning. Fine if your a business traveler & only staying for a couple of nights. But for a family that is staying 6-10 days it was just blah. Hair was found on the serving utensils for the sausage. A young man knocked over all the juice cups & an employee helped him pick them up but they restacked them and put them back on the counter! I used coffee cups for juice instead. Overall the experience was excellent & I will definitely stay there again. However, if it is for an extended stay i'm more inclined to go venture out for breakfast.
