This building is really outdated! The rooms are small and the bathrooms are poorly designed, you cant have the shower door and bathroom door open at the same time. This was not what I expected when booking a Fairmont. The rooms could also be cleaner and more organized. We switched rooms and the second room was a lot nicer then the first one we had, plus it was properly stocked with amenities unlike the first one that was completely empty.
That being said the staff were exceptional! Every single staff member we came across was very helpful and pleasant. I would like to give a very big thank you to Sandesh at the front door who went above and beyond trying to help us organize rides for our large group.
I booked the Fairmont and had really high expectations....However I was rally disappointed!!
I booked the hotel through a special deal with a $100 credit and free breakfast.
I was not impressed with the room- it was really small and could have been any budget hotel!! The two double beds were tiny as well! We had no view (from the window) of course!- just some building opposite.
The staff were not very welcoming or helpful as compared to my previous experience with the Fairmont.
Self parking was really difficult to find, though it is supposed to be just behind the hotel, my truck would not fit into the multi-storey car park (which has a 6ft clearance) so finally conceded to valet parking.
The velvet glove restaurant was good however.
Finally, I was charged for all the extras inspite of getting a deal with $100 credit with my booking, I made multiple complaints to the staff about this was told that it would be rectified, however my credit card has still been charged for the amount
I am not impressed at all, it felt like staying at a budget hotel ! This has put me off from staying at the Fairmont in future!
