What could be more fun than a two-in-one family vacation? This winter, check out some of the increasingly popular four-season resorts that combine both ski and splash enjoyment for kids of all ages. Hit the slopes for part of the day, and then grab your swimsuit for the rest! Still have energy? Most of these centers also offer night skiing and snow tubing. Here, a look at family ski resorts with indoor water parks.

Jay Peak Resort

If your family loves skiing through giant mounds of fresh snow, check out Jay Peak Resort. The area is known for an annual natural snowfall of more than 375 inches the highest average in the East. In addition to Ice Haus, an indoor skating rink, the resort has a spectacular slopeside indoor waterpark, the Pump House, which features Big River, a not-so-lazy river, the Double Barrel FlowRider and a kiddie play area. It also has indoor and outdoor hot tubs. Jay Peak offers many family-friendly packages that include skiing, skating and splash time, skiing and snowboarding lessons, and onsite daycare for wee ones who can't barrel down the trails just yet.

Split Rock Resort

Located in the Poconos Mountains, Split Rock Resort features the H2Oooohh! Indoor Water Park, about a 10-minute drive from the Jack Frost and Big Boulder ski centers. H2Oooohh has 53,326 square feet of water fun for all ages, including the Jungle Falls & Leapin' Lizards play area for smaller kids, an indoor FlowRider, an Amazon Blast slide that drops four stories, hot tubs, a wave pool and raft slides. The water park is open to the public; children under age 2 are admitted free. The ski hill offers lodging, skiing, and tubing and lesson packages for day and night skiing for children ages 3 and up.

Rocking Horse Ranch Resort

At the four-season, all-inclusive Rocking Horse Ranch Resort in the Hudson Valley, there are 500 acres of family-friendly winter activities, including year-round horseback riding, sleigh rides and a snow park with tubing and outdoor ice-skating. Skiing, equipment and lessons are provided. When you"re ready to head inside, the Big Splash Indoor Waterpark features splash pads and interactive fountains for little ones, and The Gold Rush, a 250-foot-high tube slide that starts off indoors before bringing riders outside for a few loops and then returning inside.

Cranmore Mountain Resort

Children of all ages will love Cranmore Mountain Resort"s 56 ski trails and snow tubing area. Check out the adventure park"s outdoor mountain coaster that leisurely twists through the forest, or try the giant swing and thrilling, 700-foot long zip-line. Six minutes away, New England"s largest indoor waterpark, Kahuna Laguna is open to guests staying at the Fox Ridge Resort and Red Jacket Mountain View Resort. The 40,000-square-foot attraction has body slides, tube slides, a wave pool and water basketball, plus the Little Kahuna Play Area"s tamer slides and water toys for younger children. A 25-person hot tub will warm tired ski muscles, too.

Located in New York"s renowned Snow Belt, Greek Peak Mountain Resort is one of our favorite ski resorts with water parks. With more than 30 runs, plus cross-country trails and a nine-lane tubing center, the resort offers something for everyone in your gang. There"s onsite daycare, plus a teen hangout lounge with arcade games and movies. Adjacent to the mountain, Cascades Indoor Waterpark at Hope Lake Lodge is open to anyone who wants to splash around its 41,000 square feet of slides, wave pool and other water activities. Guests staying at the Lodge get discounted water park tickets.

Camelback Mountain

This Poconos-area resort property features 166 skiable acres, with 34 trails that are open day or night, plus a 42-lane tubing park. Camelback Resort Lodge"s 125,000-square-foot indoor water park, Aquatopia, is free for guests staying at the lodge. Thirteen water attractions include the Storm Chaser, the longest water-coaster in the U.S., the Bombora FlowRider, which combines surfing and boogie boarding, and the Venus SlydeTrap, in which users slide down a twisty tube and then drop into a 16-foot sphere. Kiddie activities include Penguin Play Bay, a shallow adventure lagoon, and Kartrite"s Quest, a multi-level aqua play structure.

Blue Mountain

Located between the shores of Ontario"s Georgian Bay and the Niagara Escarpment about 90 minutes north of Toronto, Blue Mountain offers 42 trails for beginner and intermediate skiers, along with snow tubing and a Terrain Park for the tricksters in your brood. It"s also the ultimate ski resort with an indoor water park. Kids of all ages can make waves at the indoor water park and aquatic center, Plunge, located at the base of the hill. Featuring a splash area for younger children and slides for the older ones, it"s an ideal spot to warm up after a cold Canadian day. With 109 trails for all levels of snow lovers, Gore Mountain offers the most skiable terrain in New York State. Children ages 6 and under ski for free, and there are daycare and off-mountain kids' programs for those who don"t want to hit the slopes. A half-hour away in Lake George, Six Flags Great Escape Lodges huge indoor waterpark awaits kids with energy leftover after a day of skiing or snowboarding. More than 38,000 square feet of splash-tastic fun includes Avalanche, a thrilling four-person raft ride, Tall Timbers Treehouse's 160 play features for younger kids, and the shallow Tip-A-Kanu-Beach for toddlers. Lodge guests can enjoy the water park for free.

Granite Peak

Less than two hours north of the Wisconsin Dells, Granite Peak is one of the most family-friendly ski areas in the Midwest, with Festival Weekends featuring activities such as fireworks, bonfires and wagon rides. Seventy-five runs allow for plenty of variety. Ten minutes away, the Grand Lodge Waterpark Resort boasts one of the biggest indoor splash centers in Central Wisconsin. The waterpark features Timber Twisters, a four-story high, 317-foot long adventure, and the Sasquatch Tube Slide, which has an 84-foot plunge. Younger children can try the Rapid Rock Lazy River and navigate the floating logs on the Log Jam Pass, while toddlers will enjoy the knee-high Powder Keg Puddle.

Boyne Mountain Resort

Two mountains mean double the fun! Boyne Mountain in Boyne Falls, Michigan and the nearby Boyne Highlands in Harbor Springs offer 115 ski trails over 850 acres, plus miles of cross-country and snowshoeing trails. The 88,000-square-foot Avalanche Bay Indoor Waterpark, located just steps from the slopes, is the largest one of its kind in Michigan. Its newest and most thrilling attraction, The Big Couloir, features a launch capsule with a super steep drop, where riders fall 38 feet per second. The Super-G tube slide brings adventurers outside the building and back to the pool. The less adventurous or younger family members will love crossing floating icebergs and the Lazy River Adventure. Small splashers can hang out at the Kitz Pool, which has basketball hoops, tipping buckets and a mini-slide.

Timber Ridge Lodge & Waterpark

Located less than an hour from Milwaukee and 90 minutes from Chicago, Lake Geneva"s The Mountain Top ski center is the perfect size for families, with 18 runs, a snowboarding terrain park and 6 miles of cross-country trails. Minutes away, the Timber Ridge Lodge Family Resort & Waterpark features Moose Mountain Falls, a 50,000-square-foot wet and wonderful adventure. Tiny Timbers has small slides and a mushroom waterfall, while the activity pool"s rope climbing course is great for kids ages 7 to 10. For thrill-seekers, the high-speed Avalanche Falls whisks riders through dark tubes. Guests at Timber Ridge Lodge receive four free water park passes when booking a one-bedroom suite, and six passes with a two-bedroom suite.

At Silver Mountain, North Idaho"s premier ski resort, families can ride the gondola from the base village all the way up to the slopes. Surf"s up at the 50,000-square-foot Silver Rapids Indoor Water Park, which is free for guests staying at the Silver Mountain Resort Lodging at Morning Star Lodge. Water fun includes Cub Cove, an interactive spray deck for little ones, two enclosed tube slides, a 315-foot lazy river, the Hoop Lagoon basketball pool, a continuous wave surfing machine and The Warm Spring, a family-friendly hot tub.

A $9 million expansion at Cascade Mountain has added two new lifts, eight new trails and an expanded main lodge to the property, which features a seven-lane tubing park and 160 skiable acres. Children ages 4 to 10 can learn how to ski or snowboard in the Cascade Kids program. A short car ride from the ski hill, your brood can experience Wilderness Hotel & Resort"s four indoor water parks, totaling more than 250,000 square feet of adventure. There's a 'zero-depth' play lagoon, a 400-foot lazy river, a 750-gallon tipping bucket, 50 play and spray water blasters, family raft rides and the Great Wave, America's largest indoor wave pool. Older kids will love the two thrill slides Hurricane and Black Hole, plus the Midwest's first interactive Slideboarding attraction, which combines a waterslide with a real-life gaming experience.

Massanutten Resort & Water Park

Massanutten Resort features 6,000 acres of major mountain fun, with 14 ski trails, tubing, children's lessons, and an ice skating rink. Ski day or night all the trails are lit. The four-season resort's indoor water park heated to 84-degrees Fahrenheit features eight slides, a surfing simulator, a lazy river, and everything from water cannons to waterfalls. This wet n' wild playground works for little ones check out the Frog Pond  and teens, who will love the Body Slide: 250 feet of sharp turns and sudden drops. Thrill-lovers will enjoy the Rockingham Racer, a headfirst waterslide, while parents can indulge in an apres ski soak in the Shenandoah Hot Springs.
