The newest hotel in Gettysburg is actually an old high school, opened from 1896 to 1992. Today, it offers slightly upscale, yet kid-friendly accommodations (though it’s admittedly best for families with teens); rooms with two queen beds easily suit a family of four, and include refrigerators. Free Wi-Fi is available, as is afternoon tea. Federal Point Inn is within close proximity of Gettysburg Battlefield and Gettysburg Museum and Visitors Center, yet somewhat removed from all the action.

Awesome historic hotel! It was an old school but has been transformed to a modern hotel, very friendly and helpful staff, beds are comfortable with about 7 luxurious pillows, bathroom is spotless and modern with granite tiles on floor an in the shower. Beautiful Gettysburg paintings everywhere, Lee at Cashtown Inn over my bed. AC is at the perfect temperature. If I had to give a negative it would be the TV is a little small.
Just left Gettysburg after a week long trip. Been to Gettysburg many times over the years, and we found this glorious hotel in 2012. Haven’t stayed anywhere else since!
The building is so beautiful inside & out.
We felt like we were the only ones there, it was so quiet. Rooms are huge!
Will definitely be back
