The newest hotel in Gettysburg is actually an old high school, opened from 1896 to 1992. Today, it offers slightly upscale, yet kid-friendly accommodations (though it’s admittedly best for families with teens); rooms with two queen beds easily suit a family of four, and include refrigerators. Free Wi-Fi is available, as is afternoon tea. Federal Point Inn is within close proximity of Gettysburg Battlefield and Gettysburg Museum and Visitors Center, yet somewhat removed from all the action.

Beautiful hotel that felt more like an inn. Large rooms with nice amenities such as daily water in the room. Civil War momentoes, paintings, and antique furniture added to the allure of the hotel and these rooms. Was a relaxing place to come back to after a long day of sightseeing. Coffee and tea available all day as well as scones for a mid-afternoon treat. Would definitely stay here again!!
Pros: Convenient location. Very nicely furnished public areas and rooms. Staff was helpful and friendly. Cons: my room was on the side of the hotel that faces a busy street and there was a great deal of road noise all night long. Rooms were not well insulated from sound and had a good bit of hall noise.
