Positives: Our room decor was very current since the hotel underwent renos. The Beds are super comfortable which we appreciated.
Negatives:
The Check-in process was the slowest I’ve ever experienced. We stayed at the Flamingo years ago and had never run into such a draining process. Things have changed. It was exhausting, inconvenient and unhelpful to be waiting that long to check in when you arrive at the ‘right time’ they tell you to check in. That’s not fair. The Registration desk was understaffed. There should be an employee at every single computer when that many people are expected. It’s unacceptable to make people wait in that long of a line filling up the entire lobby with no end in sight. It was far from a luxurious experience.
The thermostat in our room was not working - even when we turned it up to 80 degrees only cold air would blow out. It did not even have a heat option, just Auto and Off. We froze.
The toilet paper was substandard. It felt like wood. The hotel should invest in better quality TP. Also, there was no fan in the bathroom. A fan is a must with any steamy room without a window.
Furthermore we were disgusted with what we found in the bathroom... thick black hairs on the ceiling and clinging to the walls. See photos. Enough said.
Lastly, the Wifi would flip us offline constantly which was also very inconvenient.
