12th trip to Kauai and I always get my expectations met at the GII Hotel

Great central location, food and shops walking distance, the beach is across the street. If you want to find a quaint Inn with the friendly locals to offer all assistance its great. They also have an honor system of take and borrow or use what others left behind to your benefit. Save a ton on sunscreen! It works great when the timeshare isnt exact with your travel plans.

THE place to stay in Lihue!

We had a wonderful stay at the lovely Garden Island Inn. Such cheery, clean and comfortable rooms. The hotel has a great garden. Free breakfast is included and they were ever so nice to serve it earlier than usual for us birdwatchers. The hotel is right across from a park and beach (they'll supply beach towels for you) and there is a strip mall across the street too with fine restaurants and shops. I hated to leave!
