Recently, our group of 18 stayed here for a family reunion/anniversary celebration. It worked out perfectly for us! The staff at the resort were very accommodating of our needs and the pool and outside bar/grill were perfect for us because everything was on the premises. It's not easy to get reservations at a restaurant or move around with a group of 18, ages 8-93! The food at the Cabana Bar was tasty, the portions generous and the drinks were definitely NOT weak. The pool was large and clean, plenty of lounge chairs were available and an attendant handed out towels so you didn't have to bring them from the rooms. There was access to the lake and paddle boards, paddle boats & kayaks, etc. were available at the resort and more for rental, walking distance, a couple of doors down on the lake. The younger people of our group loved that! We had a "Penthouse Suite", which was large enough to accommodate 5 of us, had a lovely view of the lake and a balcony. There was a refrigerator and a microwave in the room. Although some have described the colors in the bathroom as dated, the tiles/fixtures did not appear to be old and the bathroom was clean and in good working order, so the criticism may be more of taste than functionality. If you are looking for true 5 star accommodations, you should probably look about 10 miles north of this resort, but you will certainly pay for it. The breakfast buffet was ok, with a basic offering of freshly made breakfast fare, but if you are not an "all you can eat" eater, you could probably do better at one of the numerous breakfast places within walking distance of the resort. Breakfast was included with our room and was perfectly adequate for our needs. Though some items would run out, it was not long before they were replenished. The on site restaurant, Giovanna's was VERY accommodating to the dining needs of our large and diverse group, serving up a tasty, generous meal for us our first evening in Lake George. Again, all there tried their best to make our stay memorable and were very friendly and pleasant. The resort is located toward the edge of the Village and is in walking distance of shopping, restaurants, bars and various attractions, which was helpful for a group our size. It was nice not to have to drive everywhere we wanted to go. All in all, we were all pleased with our stay and would recommend The Georgian! We will likely return, probable for a fall weekend later this year.
Very nice place that is right on the lake. The cabana bar overlooking Lake George was a lot of fun with great drinks! We Will be back! Only one downside was the all you can eat breakfast buffet, really wasn't worth the price but the pool was big and the lounge chairs were very comfortable, They even bring your food that you order at the cabana bar right to your chairs at the pool, Staff was very nice as well
