The Gold Dust West has it all for families. There is a bowling center, two onsite restaurants, an attached RV park and more. Choose between a variety of rooms including two-room suites, some with Jacuzzi tubs. The rooms and suites feature many amenities including flat-screen TVs, internet access, coffeemaker, spa tubs and more. Families really enjoy the outdoor swimming pool, and the adults will love the spa and fitness center. This is a part of a trio of three casinos and resorts where you can stay, eat or play.

My wife and I booked the room ahead of time. Being from out of town, we had no idea that this hotel was also part of a casino. That's no fault of theirs...we should have researched it a bit better.
Being so close to a casino, it went without saying that the smoke smell from the main floor pretty much permeated the whole place. I did notice that air purifiers were set up in the hallway...so it appeared that hotel management was trying to do what they could.
Overall...the room we got was okay...there were a couple of problems. The controller for the A/C wasn't working properly...no response from the unit at all. Upon further investigation, I discovered the unit had been turned off manually...I got it going the "old school" way...controlling it from the unit itself.
Also, the toilet seat was loose...moved whenever you sat down. The shower head is set for someone much taller than normal folks.
The folks at the front desk were awesome...genuinely cared about any issues we had...we truly appreciated that.
All that being said...I would suppose if we were there to gamble...the room would have been just fine. Unfortunately, my wife and I were just wanting a quiet place to stay...without the bright lights.
Good deal and clean rooms. Don't get a room by the side entrance door...slams all night. lol
Staff was friendly and breakfast was good also. Restaurants were good and clean with fair prices. FYI - More on the older crowd scene.
