Overview

This undeniably luxurious family resort features a beautiful, intimate beach, with calm waves that are perfect for young children. It also offers one of the best kids’ clubs we’ve ever encountered, with high-tech, age-specific activities and even a water park! Stunning pools, delicious restaurants, deluxe suites and a world-class spa (re: hydrotherapy ritual) make it one of our favorites, too. Another perk? You can hop a ferry to Isla Mujeres right from the resort!

The Grand Fiesta Americana Coral Beach isn’t a traditional all-inclusive resort, but offers an experience called “U” by Grand Fiesta Americana. The package includes unlimited dining at the resort’s award-winning restaurants, premium brand and signature drinks, access to the kids’ club, and so much more.

Fun Fact: Jordin Sparks babymooned at this resort in 2018!

Grata Experiencia

Asistimos invitados para participar en la cena de Fundación Posadas y me parece una labor hermosa que ayuden a las familias de los empleados y un poco más allá. Con respecto del hotel, cabe mencionar que esta en Perfecta Condición, la playa hermosa! Las piscinas extraordinarias el servicio esmerado, de TODO el personal: meseros, camaristas, concierge, recepción, capitanes, spa y RRHH que nos asistieron con la reserva, regresaría con gusto en cualquier cantidad de ocasiones/We went invited for an special occasion, Fundación Posadas dinner, and I'm glad that so big company has a great commitment with the associates & their families. If we talk about the hotel: it is in perfect condition, considering the time being there, public areas, pools, and the beach is GORGEOUS! The service from every person that works there is awesome, they have the best attitude! The food is goooooood! I would gladly stay there many times in the future! Definitely 100% recomendable if you fin a good rate & availability! Obviously rooms with ocean view are the best!

Relax in Cancun

by Sharon K

The price for what you got was excellent. The room was always well maintained and overall the staff couldn't do enough to meet your requests. They don't have a quick place to grab a fast breakfast but when we wanted to take coffee and out to the pool the last morning we were there they quickly got us to go coffee and an assortment of pastry so we could enjoy.
Overall I would go back to be pampered

Family Activities

Beach

The beach is very private; you won't find pesky vendors here. Another feature we love about it? The waves are calm -- perfect for families with young children. Loungers and umbrellas are available.

Pools

The resort's pools interconnect to weave throughout the back of the property. Kids will love floating underneath the bridges and walkways. Bring your own (flamingo-shaped) float or purchase one at the resort.

Coral Kidz Club

Coral Beach's kids' club is one of the best kids' clubs we've ever encountered -- seriously. Designed for children between 3 and 12, Coral Kidz Club offers age-centric activities, from a make-believe grocery store for toddlers to costumes and a performance stage for tween superstars. All kids will love the dinosaur-themed land, where they can dig for "fossils" outside, as well as the water park.

Coral Kidz Club also offers organized activities, such as cooking classes and night camps. Note that many of these require a reservation in advance.

Bonus: Families are given four complimentary passes to Coral Kidz Club (one morning, one afternoon, one all-day, and one night session); a fee applies for any visits after that.

Note: All children must be potty trained to attend the kids' club.

Water Sports

The hotel provides kayaks, paddleboards and other non-motorized equipment to enjoy on the water. Use of the equipment is included in the daily resort fee (see Planning & Tips).

Isla Mujeres

You can literally see Isla Mujeres from the resort. Better yet, you can visit by hopping on a ferry from the resort's marina! Spend the day exploring this unique island with a real sense of Mexican culture before returning to Coral Beach at sunset.

Family Dining

The resort features several a la carte restaurants. Bonus: Children ages 12 and under eat free at all of the the restaurants, with kids' menus or kid-friendly entrees and highchairs available.

Vina Del Mar

The breakfast and brunch buffet at Vina Del Mar is not to be missed! The decadent spread includes all of your favorites -- from made-to-order omeletes and pancakes to fluffy pastries and fresh fruit -- plus local delicacies. It's open 6:30 a.m. to noon daily, with both indoor and outdoor seating available.

Coral Cafe

Coral Cafe resembles a French bistro, with light fare for lunch and dinner. You can also grab a coffee and pastry to go. It's open 11:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily. Indoor seating only.

Isla Contoy

Enjoy your meal with a view at Isla Contoy. The restaurant overlooks the teal-blue ocean and serves lunch (11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.) and dinner (6:30 to 11) daily. Seafood and Mexican dishes are the specialties.

La Joya

La Joya is ideal for a date night, but is equally family-friendly. The dim-lit restaurant serves authentic and delicious Mexican fare for dinner. The highlight? Live Mariachi music! It's open 6:30 to 11 p.m. Tuesday to Sunday.

In-Room Dining

Room service is available 24/7.

The Best Time to Visit

You'll find the hotel's lowest rates mid-May through mid-December. The crowds pick up around the winter holidays, when families like to trade the cold temps for warm days by the beach.

Getting There

The hotel provides shuttle service via a local transportation company; the cost is approximately $70 (USD) for up to four passengers, one way. Grand Fiesta Americana Coral Beach Resort is about 20 minutes from Cancun International Airport. If you decide to rent a car and bring it to the resort, parking is complimentary.

Getting Around

Many resort guests cross the street to explore local attractions and restaurants. The resort's 24-hour concierge can also help you arrange excursions to popular attractions such as Xcaret. And you can easily hop a ferry to Isla Mujeres right from the resort for a cultural experience on the tiny, beautiful island.

For Parents

Gem Spa
Do not miss Gem Spa. We repeat, DO NOT MISS GEM SPA! The spa is widely known for its Hydrotherapy Ritual, a 10-step treatment that includes a steam room, sauna, mineral soak and more. All of that takes place before you get to your massage, facial, or scrub.

Le Basilic

Le Basilic is an AAA Five Diamond restaurant -- one of very few restaurants in Mexico with that distinction. It serves French-Mediterranean fare from 6:30 to 11 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday. Kids are welcome, but if you ask us, this one calls for a babysitter.
