Overview

Half Dome Village in Yosemite Valley (formerly Curry Village) features clean, affordable lodging and what you might call “pampered camping,” where you can enjoy views of Half Dome from your camp or tent. The ultimate in safe, clean, no-frills accommodations, Half Dome Village offers a choice of basic motel rooms, cabins, and “tents” which are actually canvas covered platforms with cots inside, that let your family feel close to nature without forcing you to sleep on the ground. The tents have no running water but have adjacent bathrooms with warm showers and even hair dryers.

VERY DISAPPOINTED

by lysjerash

We live in Europe, booked our stay in january due to the pictures we saw in the website and when we arrived with our 3 kids, we found out that the lodge was completely different as the pictures published:
- stains all over the carpet and the covers
- carpet full of dust and lint specilly behind the beds
- women restrooms uncleaned for more than a day...and some of them were closed...
- Showers full of dirt and hairs everywhere
- next day, we came back after 7pm and the beds were still unmade...

The first day, my husband and I went to speak to the manager. The only solution she offered was giving us our money back at 11:30pm!!!
In the middle of nowhere, with 3 kids, at that hour, what could we do?

Look at the pictures and draw their own conclusions!!!

Good

Our accommodation was good and the showers and toilets were clean.

Loved the village and highly recommend visiting if ever given the chance. Will need atleast 5 days for a really good time.

The internet is abit slow and only in certain areas. No biggy as you should be there to enjoy nature not on your phone!. Loved the little lounge / deck seating was good to chill out after hiring bikes.

Loved being able to see the wild life was a real highlight for me.

Only downside was there was a school trip and the kids were really loud where you sit to eat dinner. Try to avoid that if you can.
