TripAdvisor Rating

Roughly 8 miles from Tallahassee Airport and close to several attractions such as the 22-story Capitol Building, this Hampton Inn makes for an inviting home base in Florida’s capital. Among the amenities are an outdoor swimming pool, fitness center and a bicycle rental service onsite for families who wish to explore the city’s many nearby attractions by bike. The free hot breakfast starts your morning off right with waffles, cereal and all the other things kids eat without complaining. And although the hotel does not have an onsite restaurant, there is an onsite snack shop for quick pick-me-ups and plenty of family-friendly restaurants nearby, including an Italian Grill and Waffle House.

Guestrooms and suites all have 32-inch LCD TVs, a coffeemaker and ironing facilities. Upgrade to the suites if you want the added benefits of a kitchenette with a refrigerator and a microwave, making it fairly easy to prepare simple meals in.

Not the best Hampton has to offer.

Property seemed rundown. Location was excellent. Next to a Cracker Barrel and other restaurants and just off interstate I-10.
Room was updated partially (bathroom not so much). Internet was excellent.

Needs an update

Everything about this hotel screams makeover. From the peeling carpet squares to the worn finishes on the furniture, this place just looks tired.

Room wasn’t clean the first night (debris on the carpet, dirty mirror in the bathroom) but it was better the second night. The staff was friendly enough, but they had “grab and go” breakfast bags one of my five days there.

As an aside, the nearby Friday’s restaurant has closed, so there’s not a lot within walking distance.

Would stay again if necessary, but definitely not my first choice.
