Very Compact room close to the Airport and the Speedway

I can't recall ever having a room this small in the US. We arrived between 9 and 10 and couldn't find a single employee. I walked down several aisles, calling out "hello...hello...hello. Finally someone appeared and she didn't seem particularly pleased to be disturbed. After our initial encounter, the remainder of the help was pleasant. We were happy to have a king bed, however the bed was not very comfortable as I awoke with an aching lower back. The room décor was nice, but the chair was so low to the ground, it may have been broken.
The electrical outlets were so loose that I couldn't keep my curling iron pugged into the wall. We did enjoy the pool and the breakfast, especially the little veggie omlets. The breakfast on our first night's stay was considerably better than the second nights's stay.

Hampton Inn is doing their brand a disservice having their name on this hotel.

I have stayed in Hampton Inns from Maine to Florida for the past five nights and this one is the worst by far.

We were initially assigned a room that seemed nice. Large with a sitting area, complete with a sofa, coffee table & two comfortable chairs & a small kitchen area. Upon looking closer though we found that there was no desk or any area that would accommodate plugging in a computer. Additionally the toilet overflowed onto the floor on its first use. Not good. We requested another room.

Our second try wasn’t any better. This time we got a room about the size of what you’d expect in a really cheap motel. So small that it could not accommodate either a dresser or chair. A small fridge was sitting against the wall as we entered with a microwave perched on top. We asked for a chair and were given a tiny kitchen dinette chair with the explanation that a larger chair wouldn’t fit in the room. Correct.
Asked for a different / better room and were told that all the rooms were the same—tiny with no room for either a chair or dresser.

Ultimately, we moved to a nearby Hilton Garden Inn. It was quite nice & we enjoyed our stay.
