Very convenient to the airport

Late flight getting in to Daytona for Biketoberfest. This property is incredibly easy to get to from the airport. Overall a pretty good place to stay. I didn't spend enough time here to really dig into details but for what I needed it worked just fine.

MOLD! avoid this property

This property is NOT up to Hampton standards. Check in: had to seek out someone to help me, was not recognized a gold member, unfriendly check in,did not feel welcomed. Room: noticed discoloration on lamp shade & funny smell upon entering room, (left room shortly after entering to meet others for dinner) after returning to room noticed HEAVY MOLD growth in bath room, further inspection revealed mold on lamp shades & other areas in sleeping area. Really disgusting amount of mold. Hair dryer handle was so gummy/nasty, I refused to use it. ...... Notified Hampton via email as no one was at desk to complain to. Next morning I sought out manager & housekeeping manager & brought them to my room to show them how unacceptable this was. I was moved to another room. ..... Checked into other room & MOLD STILL PRESENT there in bathroom. I could tell room had attempted to be cleaned (clorox odor). Reported mold in 2nd room to housekeeping manager the next morning. I never heard any more from her or the manager. ...... Breakfast: acceptable put poorly stocked & presented..............On my last night, I attempted to use the hair dryer in the new room for the 1st time. It was clean & looked new. However, when I plugged into ground fault in bathroom, the plug did not work. I reset the ground fault & heard loud buzzing & popping from the ground fault receptacle. This sounded very scary & unsafe. I notified the front desk that maintenance needed to look at this before room was occupied again.......... Check out did not have the information about the receptacle that I had reported the night before. ........... Overall this was the WORST HAMPTION INN I have ever stayed at. This is not what I expect from the brand! I am a gold member & travel frequently. This experience was terrible. The staff did nothing to impress me at all. Most staff members appeared very unhappy with their job or life in general, not welcoming or friendly. This is a totally disgusting hotel. I left feeling quite sick. Every morning I stayed there I woke with a terrible headache from the mold.
