Excellent from Bed to Breakfast!

I chose room 326 (faces Highway vs Mountains). The room was spacious with a comfy bed, linens and pillows. I want to emphasize very comfy pillows! Definitely not the typical “too poofy” hotel pillows. These were quality and there were four. My highest praise goes to the free breakfast. What was suppose to be hot was Hot (temp). A dish of steak chunks in with diced potatoes was perfectly seasoned and so delicious. A dish of mini omelettes were moist and not rubbery like most buffet omelettes. They also contained veggies and seasoned nicely. The buffet offered shredded cheese to top the omelette. The variety of food was amazing; Cereals, muffins, hard boiled eggs, mini pancakes, toast, bagels, fruits, juices and two flavors of real fruit smoothies. I had one of each. I was a solo leisure traveler but I dined next to a lady with 3 young children. With the diverse buffet, each child clearly found something they liked for breakfast. The attending staff lady even brought out breakfast bars for each to take as a snack on the road. This was the same lady that helped me look for my lost ear-bug. I was so impressed with this hotel and kind staff.

It could have been much better

I have stayed at Hampton Inns before. We found a mouse in our room. After speaking to the front desk, we were offered a rate discount and a visit from maintenance to check for other mice. There was no discount given at final billing, and no visit from maintenance that I was made aware of. The hotel would have been fine, had there been follow through on what they said they would do to address the problem. My rating would have been positive were it not for the lack of follow through and attention to detail, in this case, a mouse in a guest room.
