Undergoing Exterior Reno, but Seriously Needs Interior Reno

by macotak

First the Good: The staff was helpful and friendly. The Bad: No information was made known during booking or check-in that the hotel was undergoing exterior renovation. We parked our rental car in the lot next to the building on a Sunday night. The next morning we awoke to a manlift engine running outside our 1st floor room and exhaust fumes pouring in the room. Worse was that our car was covered in debris from the exterior sandblasting that had occurred in the short time it took us to get the heck out of that place. No warnings from the staff!
And the Ugly: This was the most run-down Hampton I've ever stayed at. I used partial points to book and was put in a very dark dingy room at the back of the hotel on the bottom floor, but since we were only making a quick 1 night rest stop decided to take it. The room was way too expensive for the type room, and really poor condition of everything. Very disappointed for a Hampton. Avoid this property until complete renovations are made!!!

Not worth the $$

If you are looking for a good night sleep don't stop here! The hotel is outdated. The beds / mattresses were horrible. Location of the hotel is great and the staff was friendly. They are updating the outside hopefully the inside is next!
