Hard Rock Tahoe Disappointing

by Rob R

Visited for three days just for fun. Found out at check in the Hotel was hosting a pool party two nights in a row. We were warned about loud music until 11:00 pm and offered ear plugs. The music was tecno/rave with yelling DJ’s. So loud it shook the window on the 15th floor. We should have been warned at booking not check in. We had one meal on property which was awful! Incomplete and stale. Staff we encountered were pleasant. The room was nice but very noisy from adjacent rooms and the hallway. Bars were well stocked but expensive. Gaming floor is huge and restaurants are small. Grounds were in decline, lots of dead plants, trash, dirty furniture and doors. Music through out other than the pool party was great! Overall very disappointing. I would recommend other properties such as the Marriott or Grand Tahoe.

Great location among the other "big" 3 casinos

Professional front desk staff, fast check in and out. Parking structure next to hotel is self park or valet at front door (side of building). Two building to stay in, the primary building and the back building. Back building means you have to walk a bit, to the far side of pool area. The room was average size with a nice size TV and an average number of channels. The bed was ok with great pillows. Nice distance view of lake, partly obscured by trees. Bathroom was kind of small with small counter space. Shower had good water pressure. May stay here again next time in Tahoe.
