With 1,775 guestrooms spread across 121 acres of beachfront property, the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Punta Cana is easily one of the largest all-inclusive resorts in Punta Cana. The landscaped grounds feature lush gardens and sparkling water features surrounding the 16 guestroom buildings and guest facilities.
And, while you may think Hard Rock is more suited to adults only, families will be surprised and thrilled to learn that this hotel caters to all age groups. From the 13 pools — including a kids-only splash pad — and beach activities to the kids’ club, teen activities (can you say “arcade”!) and mini-golf course, there’s more than enough entertainment for the whole family.
The Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Punta Cana also boasts a wide range of dining options sure to please both kids and adults. Think pizza and ice cream for the kids, and Japanese and a steakhouse – plus that ice cream – for the grownups. Families also will love how much space they have in their accommodations, especially the enormous, two-person showers. No family member will complain about a lack of something to do at this all-inclusive property.

People at the front were not very friendly at all. There were 3 of them standing there. They looked at us as if we were interrupting something almost like a "what do you want" look. It was an awkward moment for sure. The guy broke the ice when he took our pic with the motorcycle. The food was hot and tasty, they had really neat memorabilia of course as well. A lot of it is right by each table. So, hard to look at everything without standing over people eating lol All in all an average but too expensive dinner for the "experience". The store was mehhhh, not a big selection. Our waitress was rather nice and on point though might I add.
My family and I (Husband and two children, aged 6 & 8 years) arrived on 9th August for my Birthday. We stayed for 10 days. We where escorted to the VIP area and checked in separately to the other guests. This was very quick, and easy within ten minutes, we had checked in and the Guest Relations Manager MARITZA had introduced herself to us. She was extremely friendly and helpful. We had been given an upgrade of our own butler ISAIAS. We had a room in 5B. Due to arriving late as the plane was delayed we met him the next day.
Isaias was very polite, friendly and professional. My daughter has allergies and intolerances and having Isaias made this trip very easy and stress free. She had been given a card with her allergies on this and we took it to the restaurants when we dined. Isaias made our dinner reservations for 5 nights. He messaged us every day to see how we where and came to see us whilst we was at the pool to make sure everything was ok! He even would message when he had finished his shift for the day and gone home.
Our room was amazing!! Cleaned every day to a very high standard!! Fresh sheets and towels, we had no issues leaving iPads etc out. Nothing was taken!! The water was not replenished one day so we called room service and it arrived within 15 minutes!! We used room service every morning for a coffee before breakfast even though we had a Nespresso machine. They said 30-40 minutes but arrived within 10-15 minutes. We ordered chicken nuggets and fries as well as the chicken breast, mashed potato and veg. It was hot and very fresh, unlike some of the past reviews we had no issues with room service. They even brought the girls oatmeal/porridge which isn’t on the room service option.
We ate and drank everything, we had ice in our drinks, I had rum most evenings and it wasn’t watered down. I had the champagne it was lovely. We had breakfast at Ciao the first few days it was plentiful with fresh food, the standard was set very high. A few times they never had any mango, the children asked the chef, waiter they would go and bring a plate full for them! Nothing was ever any trouble. We also had breakfast at the Zen this offered a larger selection of breakfast this was amazing! The Lebanese eggs are delicious. We ate at the Ipanema for lunch most days as it was close to the kids pools as we spent most our days there. The lazy river is a must the kids really enjoyed this. We ate at the Toro on the 1st night Isaias had organised a birthday cake for me, the staff sang to me which was a lovely surprise. we enjoyed the Ciao restaurant and Zen we dined in twice of these on the evening. We loved the pizzeria so fresh. I have intolerances but I found the pizza here caused no discomfort or bloating. We enjoyed the bistro Med too. We would grab an ice cream when heading back to our room. The queue was long on days but definitely worth the wait.
There is food and drink readily Available around every corner. You will never go hungry or thirsty.
The girls stayed and enjoyed the kids club, they did the kids bop experience, participated in pool side activities. They loved the kids foam party and pop up kids pool party.
The staff are all 100% genuine, no one expects a tip but when you do they truly appreciate it. Everyone we met from the doormen, security, maids, cleaners all where friendly, high-fives where given and warm smiles always followed. It was like being amongst family.
We met with the timeshare representatives for breakfast they discussed the benefits of this, we said no as this wasn’t something we would do at this time but may consider in the near future. Not once where they rude, aggressive or pushy. My only negative feedback for this is that both myself and husband had to be present and it wasn’t fair for the kids to be sat there for a long time, they just wanted to be in the pool. The positive note was they gave you credit towards spa, Bali bed etc. We chose a 80 minute couples holistic massage in the spa.
OMG!! This is one of the best spa treatments I have ever experienced! Definitely try this!! We hired a Bali bed too the beach has one of the softest sands I have ever stepped foot on! It was like powder. The sea at times was strong and waves where high, it pulled the girls under a few times and I even saw big grown men being thrown around, so be careful.
I Was hesitant in going to the Hard Rock due to the negative media reports from the USA, I am so glad that we decided to go. I never for one minute felt unsafe at this resort! It’s one the safest place I’ve been too! I felt my children where very well cared for in the kids club and never once question our safety.
Thank you to everyone at THE HARD ROCK HOTEL PUNTA CANA especially Isaias and Maritza for making my birthday celebrations one to remember, we will definitely see you very soon. Love always from the Bakers.
