Night before Machu Picchu

by CatherineBH

We stayed in this 3 star hotel for one night during our visit to Machu Picchu and Wayna Picchu in October. We arrived at night by train and at first, we thought the hotel was right by the train station. There’s another hotel with similar name.

We had to leave early morning for our Tour. We had to leave our luggage for storage and the hotel staff was very accommodating. The person at the front desk said that they had a locker and if we wanted, they can also deliver to the train station. We decided to just pick up our luggage at the hotel after we get back.

We were satisfied with our stay especially with the good rate. We selected this hotel based on recommendation of the tour agency and it had good reviews on TripAdvisor. The customer service is excellent. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good. The only thing that annoyed us was the noise outside at night - a dog barking and kid crying. The room was also cold and we didn’t know how to turn on the heater. Our room was clean, though small.

overall an excellent choice

I spent only one night and we had breakfast so early that nothing hot was provided. Positive aspects: good location to access bus to Machu Picchu, very kind personnel , nice rooms without heating that however was immediately provided by the personnel , rooms only lack safe
