Overview

The Hillcrest Inn has a nostalgic, charming feel, and families have plenty of options for their stay. One option is a Hillcrest Family Room, which accommodate three to six guests; two of the three units boast a full kitchen and bunk beds. Or, stay in your own private cottage, which accommodate six and have that perfect seaside ambiance, along with a full kitchen, fireplace, and multiple bedrooms. Then again, perhaps you’ll opt for the mini-suite: they also sleep six and include small kitchenettes. If you’re meeting up for a family reunion, you can all stay together in the Hillcrest House, which accommodates 16 and has a kitchen, great room, sun porch, and private deck. For a super-simple experience, book a standard two-queen Columbia room. All are great choices: it just depends on your family’s wants and needs.

The inn is set atop a hill in downtown Seaside, and is only half a block from the beach. Staff will happily loan you beach blankets, towels, wagons, and sand toys. When it’s time for indoor fun, borrow some games and DVDs, then stock up on free cookies, cocoa, and popcorn available all day in the lobby. Coffee, tea, and pastries are served each morning.

Hillcrest Inn Redux

by 3Islanders

This was a repeat stay at Hillcrest Inn. We can hardly say enough good things about this friendly, clean, well-located non-chain hotel. It is a short walk to the newly remodeled Seaside Convention Center, where we played in the annual bridge tournament, and it is also a short walk to the famous Promenade with its spectacular ocean views and huge sandy beach.
We stayed six nights in our usual spacious ground floor room. We forgot to bring toothpaste; Ruth provided a travel size that was fine until we had the chance to get to the drugstore. We also needed wine glasses, delivered promptly and cheerfully by Ruth. Thus, we were able to invite a couple of friends to our room to have a glass of wine and watch the second half of the Seahawks game with us.
The Hillcrest makes us feel like valued repeat customers. We will be back, and we will also continue to recommend this charming and friendly inn to others.

Great stay!

I really enjoyed my stay here, the room was spacious and clean, great customer service. My only complaint would be the prices as I found it overpriced but they were more affordable than most places. I really enjoyed the fresh popcorn and the snacks. The location was excellent, short walk to the beach and a short walk to town.
