Room was clean. Grounds were noisy (people having a good time I suppose but was loud - mixed emotions on that). View was great. People were decent. Fees taxes and more fees (a few pennies short of sixty dollars a day on a hundred twenty dollar rate) nearly 50% seems high even for Hawaii.
Otherwise the location is great if you're doing things in Hilo town. The Banyon golf course is across the street. Beautiful parks in the area.
The staff were nice and the facilities adequate, but they have an automatic $21 Resort Fee that they charge. This is not advertised in the pricing online and was a surprise to me. While i don't want to over react, this type of billing is unethical. I am not likely to stay there again
