Clean room, good breakfast, noisy in morning

by sbgLosAngeles

This is a typical Hilton Garden Inn. The room was fine, the bed was comfortable, the staff was helpful. The breakfast was great - omelettes the way you want. The only downside of this hotel was the noise in the morning from outside highways. Also, I booked mistakenly on "guestreservations.com." This is a site that came up when I searched for this hotel and unfortunately it was not the hotel's booking site - it is "an indedpendent travel network. They charged me a premium of around 45%. Do not book with this site!!!! What a scam. And all of their bookings are non-refundable. I think I made the mistake of booking via my cell phone and will never do that again. It wasn't the hotel's fault of course.

Our room was broken in to while we were in the room...

by WorldTravels01

While we were in our room at 9:00PM, we heard a noise and the door flew open. When the burglar realized we were in the room, he ran away. Someone had broken the door lock (maintenance verified the door handle was broken) and opened the door. We called the front desk and let them know the situation. They weren't shocked that this happened and asked us if we wanted new keys? Then they offered us a different room? I guess this is a commonplace occurence considering they didn't even call the police. We immediately left the property because we felt unsafe at the hotel. If you value security and safety please avoid this hotel.
