Roaches

by Roving10055256452

I was very impressed initially with hotel room and hotel. However, i went out to eat and came back to shower and there were 2 roaches crawling on the door frame of the bathroom door. I called the front desk to report and staff did not appear to be very concerned with issue nor did they apologize for the inconvenience. Very disappointed. I am a Diamond Member and stay in Hilton brand hotels all the time. I will not stay here again!

Nice Room, Hot and Cold Staff, Really Bad Breakfast Servers!!!

by mrolds69

We stayed here for 4 days while attending an event in Bowling Green. The room was ok, a bit weird with a fake wood floor, but otherwise it was nice enough. Room service was fine. The staff here seems to run hot and cold, some are very friendly, others not so much. And...some are really poor! The first night we ate in the restaurant, the food was very good. Our server Ellee? was very friendly and efficient, and she was multitasking alone. She's a keeper. Breakfast is not free, it's $9.99. We had paid for breakfast for 4 days. The 1st morning we went for breakfast about 8:30 or 9:00. We sat at a table right by the food. There was one ceramic coffee cup on the table, no silverware, no napkins. We sat and waited 5 feet from the servers??? who were talking. It was not busy at all. Finally, Erin came over and told us...just help your self, or go order what you want. Huh? We had stayed at another Hilton Gardens the night before in Georgetown KY and they had poured our coffee, taken our order and delivered it to our table. Erin started telling my GF how she hates when people wait 'til the last minute to eat. Huh? We don't want to hear our lazy server complain, I'd like to hear "Good Morning!". Anyways, my GF orders the food and gets it, we drink from cardboard cups. I still tip because I'm sympathetic to servers in general, I know it's not the best job. I typically tip 30% up (I'm deaf and was using a red scooter, check with Ellee). We figured it was an anomaly. The next morning we come about the same time for breakfast, it's not busy, and now there are 3 workers doing nothing 5 feet away. That would be Erin, Anna, and some tall curly haired guy. It's the same deal, nobody comes to the table, it's not set with silverware. So my GF goes to order our food, the servers are both ignoring us. We get the food ourselves, but still have no silverware. So, I motion to Erin to come over and ask for silverware. She proceeds to tell me it's not her table, she's not serving our table. Bear in mind, this is the EXACT same table we sat at previously. Then Anna came over and said she thought we already had eaten? Nobody had given us a bill yet, so they are both lying. And...SUPER LAZY SERVERS! It's a very simple job, but they are too lazy to do it. That was it for dining at this place, we had no desire to eat here for the rest of our stay. We went to the desk that night and spoke to Jalen, he's an excellent problem solver and "people person". He took care of the problem. But..it was a terrible experience, and I'm docking the hotel one star for having to argue with the servers. So, figure 4 stars and just skip breakfast, go down the street and get it from a place with SERVICE! Hotel is recommended, breakfast is not recommended. Please retrain your breakfast "servers" Erin and Anna. Thanks!
