Overview

Located near several beaches, the Charleston Aquarium and Fort Sumter, this Holiday Inn is ideal for family travel. A complimentary hotel shuttle into Charleston’s historic district is nice for families to explore. And after a day of exploration, stop by the seasonal outdoor pool for a dip. Kids can swim and play while parents relax and unwind. The 24-hour fitness center is also great for adults who want to stay on top of workout routines. The guestrooms feature one king or two double beds and a flat screen television. The spacious suites feature a mini-fridge, microwave and a sleeper sofa. Cribs and rollaway beds are available as well and connecting guestrooms are an option too. Complimentary Wi-Fi access can be found throughout the hotel, which makes it easy for families to stay connected to both work and home. The onsite restaurant, the Harborview Restaurant and Lounge, offers a delicious breakfast, lunch or dinner on the top floor of the hotel.

Reviews

Horrible check in experience, sexual and racial harassment by front desk and cleaning member in the past.

I revisited with a friend and walked the hotel in September. Nothing has changed...The hotel is located between two noisy highways, the lobby is old and outdated despite recent minor remodeling job, the rooms are dingy and small also old in design, the halls are narrow and old with old timey murals painted in them along side the elevator. Very unpleasant and no significant amenities. The restaurant is on the 3rd or 8th floor and the food is frozen microwaved repotted leftovers. Don't believe me, see for yourself...However, you will overpay!!!!!

Updated and improved Renovations

We visited Charleston this October and enjoyed great food and weather. Our stay at the Holiday Inn Riverview was relaxing and stress free, We really liked the renovations and the rooms were very nice. The mattress was one of the most comfortable I slept on in a hotel. Others comment on the road noise but we have stayed at multiple hotels and Inns around Charleston and it is no different. The Resturant area was cleaner and the breakfast buffet was amazing. We also enjoy the complimentary van to the Market area.
