Located within 5 miles of the entrance to Arches National Park and Moab’s center, the Holiday Inn Express & Suites is a trusted name for comfortable accommodations when visiting the national parks. As traditional with Holiday Inn, kids stay and eat free, and they will enjoy the large, heated swimming pool that receives lots of sun and overlooks the red rocks of Moab. The hotel provides free parking, free Wi-Fi, free hot breakfast and more touches, like coin-operated laundry, to help families on the road feel more comfortable when they stop for a night or two.

This place is so nice! We last minute booked and got a handicap king! The breakfast is great staff is great and most of all the hot tub is so nice and hot after your hikes! They have a heated pool with an arch grotto and fire pit. Stay here!

I booked this room for a guided mountain biking trip. The mountain biking in the area is 5 stars! This property is 1 star. I was very disappointed with this experience.
My advice to management:
-Help your front desk and other employees act friendly and professional, as is the general standard in the hospitality industry. If current employees are incapable of clear, friendly communication, find new employees. Our dining and other entertainment experiences in Moab were filled with friendly people. Utahans are generally friendly folk, and your employees did a poor job of reflecting that. Without getting into the specifics, I can say that it was primarily my poor interactions with front desk that earned this poor review. This was compounded by the fact that management never followed up with my specific concern, as I was told would happen.
-Update your mattresses. My mattress was on its last leg. It was clearly very worn.
-Figure out a way to accommodate more guests in your breakfast area. I can't even comment on the food, because it was so busy every one of the four mornings I was there that I didn't even attempt eating.
I've stayed at many IHG properties. This one is an outlier. My advice to those traveling to Moab is to pass on this property. There are many Moab hotels that offer better service and are closer to restaurants.
When not visiting the national parks, families can enjoy the hotel's large outdoor swimming pool, which is heated and features a waterfall, fire pit and two hot tubs. A covered area of the pool provides shade for families seeking a break from the sun.
Visitors to Moab typically spend their days enjoying the parks, such as Arches and Canyonlands National Parks, both of which are within minutes of the hotel.
Complimentary Hot Breakfast
The hotel provides free hot breakfast daily in a dining space just off of the lobby. Enjoy omelets, pastries, cereal and more. Breakfast is served from 6 to 9:30 a.m.
The hotel does not feature onsite dining options, but it does provide a map and menus of local restaurants that deliver, offer takeout or can be enjoyed within minutes of the hotel.

The Art of Smart Timing
Moab is a year-round vacation destination with visitors to Arches and Canyonlands National Parks visiting throughout the year. The peak season is during the summer months, when traffic is at its worst and the hotel may be booked months in advance. If traveling in the summer, book early.
The hotel is located along Highway 191 North in Moab, just near the entrance of Arches National Park. The closest airport to Moab is in Grand Junction, Colorado, about an hour away.
Guests to the area and the hotel are typically driving in rental cars and touring a number of sites and parks in the area, and a car is necessary to get to this hotel.
