I go to that hotel every time I visit San Fran. I usually have a coworker/ driver for the wks I'm there. He's an old guy. He comes in and gets a coffee and a piece of fruit or muffin and waits for me. Everyday Tommy tran yells at me that he's not allowed to eat the food. He also told him that he couldn't wait inside the hotel. So i checked out and went to a different hotel. That's just so petty and wrong. I never had an experience like this before.
There also was an ignorant person who parked their bmw across 2 spots for several days. Forcing everyone else to park around him. Everyday i asked him to tell them to park right, there are other people at this hotel. He did nothing.
This Holiday Inn hotel was very clean and well stocked with toiletries and so forth. The room was spacious and bright. There is construction at this writing, although we weren't bothered by it on a Saturday. The breakfast was very good, and we had no trouble parking. Before I made the reservation, I had a little trouble determining how the area would be. As noted above, the hotel was fine. But just a few side notes in case you are planning a stay in the little area of Pacifica. Just my opinions, of course. I found the little town to be a bit run down and uninteresting. I was happy that I had a car and was only staying one night. We went to Nick's restaurant for dinner, as it was in front of the hotel. It was pricey and not worth it. There are two other little diners nearby. Paid 5.00 for a tiny scoop of ice cream and a tablespoon of hot fudge. Not much in the way of shops, nowhere to get groceries or sundries except the gas station. The beach was picturesque, but didn't seem like a beach for swimming. Alot of locals fishing and kayaking. We did enjoy the view of the dolphins, a whale, a seal, and pelicans from the side of the beach that had a concrete walkway. Very fun to sit and relax. Again...if you just want to chill and not swim, this is for you. If you are looking for something more, another location would be better for you. I don't think kids or teenagers would like this at all. Again...just my opinion, I had a sixteen year old with me, and she agreed. Hotel was great, though.
