No complaints excellent service clean rooms the ocean view balcony was also right over pool so we could watch kids play when we were not on beach I would definitely stay here again check and out was speedy and convenient they were ready bfor we got there
I was in town for a workshop in June, and this was the hotel where the workshop was initially going to be held (the workshop itself was moved because the meeting room was too small), so I got a group rate of about $230 a night. I figured at that price this must be a really nice hotel. Turns out I was paying for beach access, and this was a run of the mill hotel. When we arrived, we were told we were lucky to being staying on the bottom floor because there was only one working elevator. Yippee, our room was right in front of it! It was such a joy to constantly think someone was at our door because they were out there being loud and horse-playing while they waited on the only working elevator. The room was freezing when we walked in, which was weird because the hallway was stifling hot. We changed the thermostat on the wall, but still froze all night long before figuring out the next day that the thermostat on the wall does nothing, and you have to actually adjust the temperature on the air conditioner unit itself. I found the bed very stiff, which I hated but my husband liked. One morning after we'd been there a couple of days, we noticed pistachio shells in the floor near the sofa. We had not eaten any pistachios during our entire stay, which means our floor had not been vacuumed before or during our stay. We informed the front desk, and someone came and picked them up while we were out. I'm not sure if they actually vacuumed or not.
We only got into the pool one time, and we quickly decided that was a mistake. First, there was a slimy film floating all in the pool, carrying with it hair and small insects. Then, the bottom of the pool was covered in sand. Finally, children were jumping off the ledge that separates the two sections of pool, and the parental instinct in me was going crazy. We went back in and took the best showers we could in the low water pressure.
I would not stay here again unless they lowered the price to around $100, because even with the beach access, that's all it would be worth to me. Sorry Holiday Inn, but you need to clean this hotel up and make some major repairs with some of that money you are collecting!
