Short visit, very pleasant

by ikester59

Attended a wedding reception here and was treated to a good meal and fine service, all in clean and comfy surroundings. It was my first time here, and I will consider the facility in the future for any banquet-style event I might need.

Very nice hotel with a pool, but our group was not even on the same floor.

The rooms were just fine--very clean. Our disappointment was with the fact that we had had reservations since February. There should have been four king rooms on the same floor. When we checked in, only one room was a king. The rest were queens. They said that the kings were already saved. Wow! I wonder how far in advance they reserved? We had reservations made in February! Then, two of our rooms were on opposite sides of the third floor, and two rooms were on the first floor. It wasn't the end of the world, but we had assumed we'd be in the same area. Also, we wanted Holiday Inn points, and the person at the desk didn't know how to do that, but her supervisor did, so it was accomplished (I hope). I might try a different hotel next time, or even the Holiday Inn Express. Not very impressed with their service at the desk or the rooms they provided. We probably did not complain enough there.
