I stayed at this place for couple of days.
Air-conditioning was not working midnight and they moved us to different room. I understand, A/C may go wrong sometimes.
But, few days later, when I checked my credit card, there is an additional 235$ charge . I called the hotel and asked about 235$. They said, it’s charged accidentally and we will refund in 5 days.
I called the corporate office to expresss my disappointment. I told them, “if they charged me 235$, why did they give me only 44$ Parking receipt during check out and said, you are all set , as you paid thru Priceline”. they hung up on me while I was talking .
I paid huge amount to reserve this hotel. And I had the worst experience.
I am glad that there are review websites like this, so I can at least tell the world.
Hubby and I along with my brother inlaw and his family stayed here to attend my Nieces wedding at honeymoon island. Overall it was an okay stay. Not bad for 2 nights. The rooms could use a facelift but I liked that we had a refrigerator and microwave in the room. The air conditioner is very loud.
Breakfast at Jimmys was very good. The chicken and waffles are delicious and we had excellent fast service. However we purchased the breakfast package rate and what annoyed the heck out of us is the waitress explained that $25 would be deducted from the bill using our breakfast coupon!! Say what?? In all the years we have purchased breakfast packages at hotels, this was a first. Either way you are getting a bill unless you are ordering the cheapest breakfast on the menu or just getting coffee and Toast.
Maybe in the future they should consider buffet breakfast and include that in the breakfast rate otherwise it’s a rip off to purchase the breakfast package. If your a large family be prepared to pay for breakfast with the package.
My husband used the pool once but I only saw it and did not use it. We ate dinner offsite so I can’t comment on that.
The live entertainment Wednesday night was rather boring but maybe some guests enjoyed it.
Customer service/front desk staff were very nice.
Our room was cleaned early and we liked that. Housekeeping did a very good job.
This hotel is within a short walking distance to the beach and stores/restaurants. The Jolly trolley stops across the street if u want to explore the city which we did.
Overall it was a fairly good stay. Not sure if we would stay again. We thought the Edge hotel next door was nicer. We found out u can use the facilities there if u are a guests at the holiday inn.
