This is one of the most exclusive, expansive and incredible ranches in all of the Rocky Mountains. If it’s offered, The Home Ranch has it.
From summer activities like horseback riding, hiking, yoga, cycling and fly-fishing to winter activities including skiing, sledding, tubing, snowshoeing, skiing, sleigh rides and guided back country tours, you will never need to leave this incredible paradise, located 18 miles north of Steamboat Springs.
When it comes to lodging, there are many options. There are a multitude of cabins, and some that can accommodate larger families in five- and six-person cabins. There are also traditional lodge rooms. It’s all high-class with modern, yet rustic options, and each room has a view and access to outdoor space.
All meals are included in the all-inclusive rate at the ranch. From snacks to morning coffee, to an afternoon protein and fruit snack, to incredible, four-course meals followed by a sweet treat, you will never yearn for another calorie onsite!
Additional perks include the children’s program and children’s meals. A smaller guest count (maximum of 50 people) means a better experience for all. This is one ranch that truly has a vast amount of activity for families, with ease of planning.

My thanks to all at The Home Ranch. I can't imagine a better place with a finer group of folks in which to have experienced & explore new things (or revisit old). It's clear The Home Ranch has established a wonderful/respectful partnership with Tammy Pate & Janice Baxter. Please continue this program. Selina, Michael & the entire staff bring a smile every time I think of their respective talents, care, great sense of humor & easy-going personalities. They were all integral in making my first solo trip such a joy. I look forward to my return.
My husband and I had a fantastic time Staying at the Home Ranch! We were greeted at the airport by Ranch staff and treated to a guided tour as we drove to the ranch. Each member of the staff were welcoming and friendly. We enjoyed horseback riding, hiking and fly fishing. All of our guides were exceptional. Each obviously loved their jobs and also each enjoyed sharing their expertise with us. We really enjoyed fly fishing on the Elk River catching several nice fish. Every meal we had was over the top delicious!!!!!!! Not a place to diet!! The fresh pastries were fabulous. The wine pairings for dinner were the best! Lunch is served on the deck and also nighttime appetizers. One of our favorite things was live music on the deck by Michael and his wife! We stayed in the Lodge and our room was perfect! Spotlessly clean! Spacious with beautiful views. We especially liked watching the wranglers bring the horses down from the pasture each morning and back to pasture in the evening. Over 80 beautiful horses! Selina and Michael do an excellent job tending to every detail of the ranch!
It is a place we will definitely return to each year!
Thank you to all for making our stay so special
