This is one of the most exclusive, expansive and incredible ranches in all of the Rocky Mountains. If it’s offered, The Home Ranch has it.
From summer activities like horseback riding, hiking, yoga, cycling and fly-fishing to winter activities including skiing, sledding, tubing, snowshoeing, skiing, sleigh rides and guided back country tours, you will never need to leave this incredible paradise, located 18 miles north of Steamboat Springs.
When it comes to lodging, there are many options. There are a multitude of cabins, and some that can accommodate larger families in five- and six-person cabins. There are also traditional lodge rooms. It’s all high-class with modern, yet rustic options, and each room has a view and access to outdoor space.
All meals are included in the all-inclusive rate at the ranch. From snacks to morning coffee, to an afternoon protein and fruit snack, to incredible, four-course meals followed by a sweet treat, you will never yearn for another calorie onsite!
Additional perks include the children’s program and children’s meals. A smaller guest count (maximum of 50 people) means a better experience for all. This is one ranch that truly has a vast amount of activity for families, with ease of planning.

We recently returned to the Home Ranch for a New Year’s vacation after our last visit 26 years ago and were absolutely delighted to find out that it remains the best vacation spot we have experienced in the United States. Everything was perfect and all-inclusive. The warm and friendly staff make an effort to learn every guest’s name on the first day and devote a lot of time to learning each’s interests and preferences. The staff provides highly individualized service, including personal shuttle service to the Steamboat Springs, destinations in town, and other tourist attractions; personal fitting of cross-country ski equipment and instruction; and instruction on horseback riding. The meals were all sensational, with delicious and varied menu selections and wine pairings. The social hour each evening before dinner, and family style meal seatings allowed really enjoyable opportunities to get to know the other guests, but only if desired. The ranch itself is in a breathtakingly beautiful location, surrounded by a river, mountains, forests and pastures. The rooms are exceptionally clean and comfortable, stocked with complimentary snacks and homemade cookies. This is a place that really aims to please, and it succeeded beyond our greatest expectations.

My thanks to all at The Home Ranch. I can't imagine a better place with a finer group of folks in which to have experienced & explore new things (or revisit old). It's clear The Home Ranch has established a wonderful/respectful partnership with Tammy Pate & Janice Baxter. Please continue this program. Selina, Michael & the entire staff bring a smile every time I think of their respective talents, care, great sense of humor & easy-going personalities. They were all integral in making my first solo trip such a joy. I look forward to my return.
