At the Homewood Suites, the goal is to make you feel right at home — and they certainly achieve that. Families will love the fully equipped kitchens so they can prepare some of their own meals, spacious one- and two-bedroom suites, laundry machines, and cribs and high chairs available on request. When you add on the special amenities that most people don’t have at home — the indoor pool, fitness room, complimentary breakfast — it’s hard to imagine having anything less than a good experience here. You’ll also enjoy the charming Alaskan decor, proximity to the airport, and friendly staff.

I've stayed in many Hiltons but I don't have much experience in Alaska. I looked for the best Hilton in Anchorage for five nights with HHonors points and I chose Homewood Suites purely because of the fact that I was able to book a one-bedroom suite with the standard rates. There were tons of Marriott, HIlton, and Hyatt hotels around. The Hyatts looked particularly nice from the outside.
We were booked into Room 401 on south end of the top floor and we did not have a great experience. Yes the airplane noise was very loud in our room, but more surprisingly a loud party BELOW us kept us up late into the evening! I know a lot about sound, and typically it's only a problem from the top down. The third problem we had in the room was utter lack of hot water in the evenings. The kids needed to take a bath and we shower in the mornings.
Halfway through the stay we were moved to a room in the middle of the hotel and none of these three annoyances persisted. All that being said, the entry hall has cool stuffed animals, the breakfast was good, and I would recommend trying to get into a room in the middle of the hotel and not on the top floor.

I am a Hilton Honors member, so I can generally find very little fault with any Hilton property .... I guess my only issue was that most of the Hilton properties in Anchorage were all very pricey properties, and generally a Homewood Suites is not at the top end, but this property simply did everything right .... It was a fairly new property, so everything was in good shape .... Its close to the airport, but also a straight shot in to downtown as well, in case you have a little time to explore .... but the room was top notch across the board, the mattress for once was fairly new and firm rather than simply feeling used, soft and squishy .... a lot of complimentary extras in this place, but I actually skipped the breakfast because it was simply the same stale offering you see at many lesser places .... still, a solid value, even for the high price in summertime
