The Hotel Ballard is situated in Ballard, a trendy neighborhood in Seattle that’s known for its restaurants, record stores, and boutiques. It’s also close to the Ballard Locks, one of the most popular tourist attractions in Seattle, and a short distance from Golden Gardens Park, a fantastic beach on Puget Sound complete with a playground, fire pits, and picnic areas.
The hotel, while luxurious, welcomes families with spacious rooms and suites that include free Wi-Fi. Mini-fridges and cribs are available upon request.

Everyone at Hotel Ballard was lovely to work with. We'd always stayed downtown before and wanted to explore this neighborhood; the hotel was a perfect base. We had a blast at the Farmer's market and the massive home consignment store down the block, and no shortage of fun places to eat. The first night we were in one of the rooftop suites. Lots of room, a fireplace, a massive slipper tub, a comfy bed. It worked fine because we got in when it was dark, but we are all about windows and views. So the next morning we asked to switch and got a lovely room looking out over the street and into the distance, with sun streaming in the pretty windows, and we couldn't have been happier. I loved the size of the hotel--more like an inn, with a personal feel. Everything was very nicely done. I'd go back.

we were "upgraded" to a rooftop suite upon arrival. That suite was charcoal grey, nearly black. Furniture in the sitting area was quite uncomfortable. In general, the Ballard is in a great location, with good parking, but it is lacking in amenities, like breakfast or an in-room refrigerator, which would have been helpful given the fact that they don't have any breakfast facility. Pleasant staff.
