Hotel Dolce Villa is located in the Federal Hill area of Providence and it offers families a great option for their stay in the city. Enjoy one of the 14 suites, most of which have full kitchens, and all of which have queen beds, flat-screen TVs and free Wi-Fi. The largest option can sleep up to six guests. Sofa beds are also available for an additional $20 per night. All rooms are stocked with free popcorn and hot chocolate, as well.
Families can walk to the Providence Place mall, as well as the State House, though public transportation may be the better option when exploring the city with little ones in tow.
The boutique property is located within walking distance of Angelo’s Civita Farnese, which is open for lunch and dinner, as well as multiple other Federal Hill area restaurants. Try Nick’s on Broadway for breakfast. Families can also stop by one of the many convenience stores for supplies for in-room dining.
Parking at Hotel Dolce Villa is $20 per night. Check-in is at 2 p.m. and check-out is at 11 a.m.

I booked two nights over the Columbus Day Weekend. Big mistake. Parking is non-existent. There is only a small alley behind the hotel near a dumpster. Street parking is impossible and break ins occur - no secured parking but you still pay $20 per night to park. The weather was very bad, so to drag luggage from the alley to the front door was a struggle. There is no elevator and no accommodation for disabilities of any kind. Check in cluttered and dirty with cat dishes in view. Carpets filthy, room stark and cold. I ended up leaving as I couldn't even sleep there and booked at another nearby hotel. No refunds whatsoever. Don't even think about staying here.
The room was clean. Small but not a problem for us as we dont spend much time in the room. Very well designed and bathroom was nicely done . Water nice and hot. Pleasant staff at desk and housekeeping, accomodating and friendly. Can beat the location very conveniently located. Downstairs restarants, good food and great bar very nice efficient staff. Place is grest for a short stay. Beds comfortable. Would suggest new carpeting on stairs, bad first impression. Other than that definitely would go back...????????
