Great location

by parksmom95

This property is listed as a luxury boutique hotel. I did not think it was luxurious and I don’t know what makes it boutique but it is a nice enough hotel. When we arrived, the street was closed for an event and we couldn’t find a place to park. There was a sign that said the valet was closed. We stopped on a side street to look at our gps and a valet came out and asked if we were checking in. The desk clerks were friendly and professional. The king room was average sized. The bathroom had a good sized shower stall and Aveda products. The bed was comfortable, the upholstered chair was stained and smelled musty. The air conditioning is controlled at the unit even though there was a t-stat on the wall. We would have liked a mini fridge. The towels and bedding were far from luxurious. The view from our sixth floor room was good. The pool on the roof was small, as was the rooftop bar. But both looked nice and there’s a good view from there.
This is a very old 7 story building with around 12 rooms on each level. It is clean though not a luxury property. The staff was nice. The location is the best part. We never needed our car after check in. There are lots of restaurants and shops all around. There are two restaurants, a coffee house, and a gift shop on the first floor that do not appear to be associated with the hotel. The gift shop should not be missed. We had brunch at The Standard and highly recommend.
I would stay here again because of the location in downtown.

Exceeded Expectations

My wife and I stayed at Hotel Indigo recently and it exceeded our expectations. Rooms were large and clean. Staff was fantastic. Everything seemed to be updated at some level. A nice place to stay in quaint downtown Fort Myers.
