Great location, great hotel!

We stayed at Hotel Indigo last weekend for our daughter’s wedding. We had the Mardi Gras Suite which was perfect for setting up our Hospitality suite for our friends and family. The outdoor balcony was the icing on the cake. The front desk workers are extremely nice and helpful. I only had a couple of complaints to keep this from being perfect. We had a ton of stuff to unload from 24 gift boxes, to liquor, snacks, plus our luggage. They have no bell captain per se and the valet person did not lift a finger. We were prepared to pay him from $20-30 but he did not help at all. The other thing was the balcony area we had was so nice overlooking St. Charles St., but the plants in the planters were dead. I asked at the front desk if they could be replaced. She did check but said it would be next month. We had 24 rooms booked in the hotel so I thought they maybe should have accommodated that request. Other than that, the rooms are large and very tastefully done!

Good location, friendly staff

This hotel was great for our short stay in New Orleans, a tramway passed in front for easy transfer to the main drag and there were a few restaurants close by. Our arrival after 10 pm met with a cheery check in, together with welcome assistance from the bell boy. The room was spacious, clean but a little dowdy. The shower area was the biggest I've encountered. Unfortunately our room was prone to a lot of traffic noise which continued into the night.
The most disappointing aspect proved to be the restaurant. The menu was sparse and when I asked for a cheese platter the reply came that they didn't do it any more. Why, then did it still appear on the menu?
