Overview

Set on a hill overlooking the Mediterranean, this charming four-star hotel near Old Nice wows with its sparkling sea views and effortless French style. The 56 rooms here let in lots of natural light and use pretty natural materials such as wood and marble within. The onsite restaurant serves Provencal specialties with seasonal ingredients. The outdoor pool is open from April to September and there’s a rooftop solarium that can be enjoyed year-round.

Old World Style

by Joppel

With all the glitz and glam of Nice, Hotel La Perouse still offers one some of the "old world style". It is and the end of Promenade Des Anglaise and offers spectacular views over the bay. It further offers easy access to the beach and to the old town with all its shops and restaurants. The breakfast is quite satisfactory.

Tired hotel in a good location.

We stayed three nights at Hotel La Perouse this week. The location of the hotel is very good- within walking distance of Old Town, Nice, The Flower Market and The Promenade des Anglais. The hotel is worn, and in need of a remodel. We booked a Deluxe Sea View Room. We found the room to be very small and the carpeting in the room to be worn and dirty. There were stains on the carpeting and it was matted down and worn. The bathroom was small with a shower inside the tub and a shower curtain that seems cheep for what we were being charged. We were expecting a bit more for the price of the accommodations. Our bed wasn't comfortable and we found the bed pillows to be very hard and flat. We did not sleep well on the mattress. The breakfast that was provided as part of our package was disappointing. The scrambled eggs were runny and the bacon undercooked. The breakfast offerings were not of the standard we had experienced during our travels through France and at hotels of this price level. The overall aesthetic of the hotel is not good. The common spaces look very worn and tired and it paled in comparison to other properties we stayed at during our two weeks in the South of France. I would not recommend this hotel.
