Reviews

Fantastic trip

by Scott Toni l

We read the reviews and were honestly a bit nervous. We have no idea where those bad reviews came from. From the moment we arrived, the staff was very friendly and accommodating. In fact, the entire staff was absolutely outstanding! Definitely want to give kudos to a few: Gabrielle (baby girl) at the pool bar remembered our drinks and always served us with a smile. Chris at the pool bar was great, too! He can dance around with a drink on his head, and not spill a drop! The entertainment crew, especially Triple X, Purple, Chocolate, Monique,Roly Poly, and Smalls were amazing. Obrian in the sports bar was always quick with a smile and a drink. Patricia at the buffet saved a table decorated with flowers for us every morning- really made us feel special. There were so many more. All of the staff were extremely friendly, right down to the gift shop girls, and the groundsmen- one climbed a tree, got us coconuts and cut them open for us to drink! The grounds were kept beautifully, as well. The chef at the beach was terrific and made the best jerk chicken! It was a fabulous trip. We didn't want to leave!

Relaxing

by Savvytravelor

This hotel is very close to the airport. (5 mins away) planes pass by taking off roughly every 10 mins depending on the day. This resort can be a relaxing or party resort.
The people in the resort make the resort. People who work there plus people we met. The grounds are nice, the rooms are decent, never used the spa or gym so not sure how it is there. Everyone is just so polite and making sure your having a great time. The food was ok if I had to compare it to the other hotels that I've stayed. It wasn't full on Jamaican food. There was barely any beef patties. I used to see them in another resort everyday during lunch by the pool. (My cousin was looking forward to eating them). Jerk chicken by the pool was not bad. Jamaica is known for their fruit. Papaya I saw which I was happy. Didn't see any mangos, & coconut. They had pineapple but it didn't taste ripe, they were still hard. They had other Tropical fruit but not my cup of tea. The beach is small, thank god the pool is pretty big, & everyone went or there would be difficult to find a spot. Pool is very spacious & lots of chair for everyone. I was disappointed that we (riu Montego bay) weren't allowed to go across to Riu palace or Riu reggae but both those resorts were allowed to come to us. Not sure if I missed anything else.
I would go back to Montego Bay in a heartbeat but probably not to this resort since it will be adults only I believe in April 2020. Love family resorts..
If you have any questions, if I missed anything let me know..
