Overview

This brand new luxury hotel is ideal for a small family with older kids spending time in the art oasis known as Marfa. Their spacious standard double queen suite provides enough comfort for four guests in a sleek and polished room that features high ceilings, LED lighting, locally made furnishings, a Keurig coffee maker, and a mini-fridge. Not to mention, incredible views of downtown Marfa’s iconic water towers and Presidio County Courthouse. In keeping with the spirit of the town, over 300 original works of contemporary art are housed throughout the hotel. There are two onsite restaurants in the hotel. One of them, LaVenture, features eclectic American-style dishes with a dash of French and Italian flavors, and is open for dinner. The other, Bar St. George, serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner, but is more of an adult gathering place at night.

The Hotel Saint George is located in the heart of Marfa, the tiny West Texas town that has become a mecca for art lovers over the years. As small as it is, you will have no problem walking to all of the galleries, shops, and restaurants in the downtown area. You can even walk the mile from the hotel to the Chinati Foundation’s large scale art installations on the grounds of Fort D. A. Russell. Marfa is a small town, so everything is easily accessible on foot. If you need a break from the minimalist art, book a flight with Marfa Gliders for a spectacular view of the desert from above. Or, arrange a guided tour on the ground with Angell Expeditions. History buffs will appreciate visiting Fort Davis National Historic Site, one of the last examples of an old west Army fort, located 20 miles to the north of Marfa. There’s a surprising amount of things to see and do in the area, and the luxury and convenience of the Hotel Saint George will only enhance your family vacation to this remote West Texas town.

Elegant Surprise

by EJBuckJr

Jewel in the middle of nowhere. Hip and traditional at the same time. Fresh, comfortable rooms with the best of everything. Great restaurant and bar. Many languages on the street. Artists, ranchers and travelers from everywhere.

Amazing attention to detail!

by Grimmjon75

This is a beautiful hotel with a very modern aesthetic. The attention to detail by the staff was phenomenal and the staff members were very friendly and accommodating. An example of this is what I asked for in the notes section when making an internet reservation. I asked that a full size photo of Nicholas Cage be waiting at the front desk upon arrival. Sure enough the staff saw this note and accommodated with the full size photo waiting on the counter by the guest book for all to see; they even laminated it! See the attached photos for proof. Highly recommended if you're passing through Marfa.
