Reviews

Very friendly staff

by soficono

I went to Trujillo for business without great expectations about this hotel, but they definitely deserve a good review.

Staff members are so nice, friendly and with excelent quality service.

Hotel rooms are very clean and the place is cozy.

The chifa restaurant in the first floor is also good.

solid three-star hotel

I stayed in this hotel two days, have chosen it due to proximity to the only Trujillo's pool parlour, "Olimpo" (literally, next door, a buck an hour for table). It is reportedly Chinese-owned, and therefore its restaurant is a "chifa". The restaurant is very popular with locals for its Chinese cuisine. It definitely has a solid vintage flavour. The building is old, but what surprised me, the room was not just renovated and clean, but literally spotless. No spots or scratches on walls, and they usually scratched in the "dated hotels" in these areas. Not in San Andres. The hot water was present. They even have a pool a jacuzzi on the roof top, and - in Peruvian winter! - people were using it. They have computers with free Internet in the lobby. The buns at breakfast were the best I tried. The staff was very attentive and welcoming. The elevator - an important thing in 5 storey building - was new and functioned very well. The location is slightly off center (15 minutes to walk to the plaza), but close (kitty-corner) to the university and related restaurant and bars strip. As well, they have a room service (I saw a uniformed guy with a tray in the hallway.)
