Wonderful Hotel

by Eric Z

About 15 minutes from the airport. Not far from the main Plaza, but I don’t know if super safe to walk there. We had a great driver! The staff was absolutely amazing. They bent over backwards to accommodate a sick family member. The free breakfast was good and the rooms were pretty modern. I was a little nervous when the beds were a little stiff, but they were actually really comfortable, especially considering I have a bad back...very close to Chan Chan ruins- maybe 10 minutes. I would normally probably give 4 out of 5 stars, but again, the staff was just amazing! There is remote control Air Conditioning units which worked effortlessly, and there is a safe in the room. Though not in the safest location, the hotel is Super safe.

Not for English Speaking Tourist!

by Ram-chicago

I booked the hotel based on reviews and was dissapointed. The staff do not speak english. It was a mess communicating with them. The breakfast quality was very poor. The rooms were small. Compared to prices I paid in Lima, this place was not cheap. The location is questionable too - out of the historic district. The cab services they arranged were expensive but dependable. The room provided did not have a safe. The staff really tried hard but could not fix the inherent issues. Also, power goes out randomly in Trujillo so be cautious in case it goes out when you are to check out and you have to pay by credit card. For english speaking tourist, I would highly recommend other choices in Trujillo.
