Initially we were in a standard double room in the main building this was small and very tired looking with thin threadbare towels. We decided to see if we could upgrade and the room we were offered was in a different building and 100% better that the first with two beds, a balcony and much more space. The upgrade cost was minimal so definitely worth the money.
We ate in the restaurant, the evening meal was fine but nothing amazing. We were surprised that they had no menu in English especially as the reception staff spoke fluent English and that there were lots of English speaking people staying at the hotel.
I have given 4/5 but if we had stayed in the main building it would of been 3/5.
All in all it’s a nice hotel but needs money spending on things like new towels, new toilet seats, decent chairs on the balcony so not a massive amount just enough to make people’s break a bit more comfortable.
All in all a good stay. Great breakfast and restaurant food adequate. Staff were great. Service generally good one bad night at restaurant when they had a wedding on but otherwise fine.
Shuttle was great.
Great lobby bar with view of city but ruined by that AWFUL TECHNO MUSIC that went on non stop. It was loud and totally out of synch with the gardens birds etc. Waiter told me it was controlled from outside hotel ! A small issue but I think people would stay longer without the racket.
Would stay again for sure.
