Serving the ski crowd, this modest 42-room hotel is 1 mile from Hunter Mountain. In fact, a variety of “Stay & Play” packages are offered, including a midweek ski package that includes lift tickets. During the summer, there is a variety of outdoor recreational activities nearby, including Kaaterskill Falls.
Guestroom types include standard, deluxe and suites. All have cable television. Some rooms feature private balconies and/or whirlpool tubs. The suites offer extra space with a loft bedroom or a living room with sofa bed. Mountainside rooms have air-conditioning, while front side rooms don’t. A breakfast buffet is complimentary.
The lobby features a fireplace, and this is the only area with Wi-Fi access. Kids will enjoy the communal TV room with a Sony Play Station, or checking out the games in the arcade. There’s also a game room with air hockey, Ping-Pong, foosball and pool tables. For adults, there’s a cocktail lounge, an outdoor hot tub, and free coffee in the lobby.

Not a very friendly staff! The “all you can eat” continental breakfast was canceled the first morning due to lack of guests. We were woken one night to loud neighbors and the “unfriendly “ staff screaming at them and I’m not sure why there were people sleeping on couches in hallway!! Very unnerving!
We have spent the past 2 summers here for our summer get together with friends from NY and 2 other states, and there isn’t a single complaint from myself and my partner! The staff is very accommodating to any of our needs and the rooms are spacious and well kept. We have plenty of coffee to keep us happy and the common areas of the hotel are lovely for relaxing! Next year we are trying a new destination, but I’m truly hoping we’ll be back sooner than later! Thank you Rachel and staff for always taking great care of us!
