I have a new favorite hotel chain in the Business/Personal travel segment, Hyatt Place. I stayed here for the first time in October. Not that I haven’t stayed at other Hyatt’s. But this was convenient for an overnight stay for a wedding.
I don’t know why Hampton dropped it’s comfortable beds (they now feel like plywood) but Hyatt Place has a very comfortable bed with down comforters and pillows. I slept very well. The rooms were spacious, recently remodeled and everything was clean and tidy.
The included breakfast spread was pretty standard. In fact, better than most with real eggs made fresh and delicious Belgium waffles. What surprised me is the tiny bar and grill the Hotel operates in the lobby. Not an extensive grill menu but well thought out. Best of all it’s open till 1 am. Perfect for the traveler with a late arrival.
In addition there is a shuttle to the airport that runs into the wee hours.
One note; to take advantage of the free breakfast bar you must be a member of their Honors program. Not a big deal as it’s possible to easily join at checkin.
Lovely stay, pleasant people, great breakfast. Don’t understand why the review needs to have 200 characters to be able to submit. This is becoming extremely frustrating, and would have now not preferred to filllout questionaire
