Reviews

It is getting worse every time I stay here

by Njs757

Hyatt Place Manati used to be a very convenient, and comfortable hotel, and used to be par to the name it bears, its administration will follow through with any of your requests. Then time started passing, and on my last two trips to the area, I have noticed that the service has started to decline: Phones are not answered right away, but rather, you have to wait sometimes even 30 minutes ringing the front desk. Requests for changing a credit card when paying are not honored correctly, mistakes that sometimes may cost you money. I have no critique regarding the interior, the rooms still look nice, sometimes the AC do not work correctly, are noisy, but they still cool down your room.
The last straw on my plate, that prompted me to leave this review, happened on this trip, November 4th through the 8th: I ordered 3 shirts to be laundered, and I left them at the front desk on the morning before I left for my work day. When I came back, at 9:00 PM, 14 hours later, the shirts where nowhere to be found, Manager was called, they did contact the laundry place, and by 11 pm, I received in my room a bag. This morning I checked it, and it was the same bag I left the morning before, with my dirt shirts! I travel a lot within the Caribbean and Central America, and I have seen a lot of bad attitudes and incompetence, but the simple act of laundering shirts, I have never experienced this, that the laundry does not do its work? No. That is why, despite the fact, that every time I come back to this area, I have to stay at this hotel: its the only decent one, aside from the ones in the San Juan, and beaches areas.
Hyatt place manati is declining, and I sincerely hope Hyatt executives take a harder look at this property, and return it to the Hyatt standards.

Hyatt Place at Manati is the best location to stay in that part of the Island. Food is good, rooms feels like new after several year and personnel works with you to address any situation that may occured
