Overview

Taking up an entire block on the famed Pacific Coast Highway, the Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach overlooks the Pacific Ocean and Huntington Beach’s expansive stretch of sand. The large resort operates a conference center, with a village of restaurants, shops and activities connecting the two areas. While the village is lively and filled with some of Huntington’s best restaurants, families can also find quiet pockets with lush landscaped grounds, a large pool area and more than 500 guestrooms and suites.

The resort’s coastal charm is luxurious and rich, leaning away from traditional blues and nautical themes. There is more of an international flair to this Hyatt, yet it’s just steps from the bohemian surfer Main Street and Pier, and even connected to Disneyland Resort by way of complimentary shuttle. Families will find the resort a perfect destination getaway for vacations.

What an Amazing Property!

by megandillon412

This is such a special property. A bridge from the resort to the beach, adult pool, kids pool, kiddie pool, waterslides, firepits, great food, and great service make this one of my favorite hotels.

The rooms are clean, the view is beautiful, and the spa is a must book.

Thank you very much!!

Family Activities

Camp Hyatt
The chain's popular Camp Hyatt program is offered at the Huntington Beach location, with supervised activities available for children ages 3 to 12. Children must be potty-trained to attend. The year-round program is available for morning, afternoon and all-day sessions daily, and provides evening dinner sessions on Friday and Saturday nights. The programs are an additional fee and require 24 hours advanced reservations. Morning sessions with lunch are from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and are $70 per child. Afternoon sessions are from 1 to 4 p.m. and are $45 per child. Evening sessions with dinner from 6 to 10 p.m. are $70 per child. All-day sessions from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. include lunch and are $95 per child.

Slyders Water Playground
The resort's pool playground is open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily, and features a water playground with three waterslides, a children's wading pool, two splash pools and a main pool. The pools are heated to 78 degrees or higher, depending on the season, and set to be cooler in the summer. Two fire pits are also located in this area for families who want to make S'mores. Dive-in movies are offered on weekends in the summer months. On Saturday nights, the water playground becomes Cosmic, with a nighttime laser show on the waterslides, plus music. The pool area offers cabana rentals.

Surfing Lessons
Huntington Beach is known for its surfing -- it's home to the International Surfing Museum -- and families can take surfing lessons from Toes on the Nose pros. The surf shop, located on the premises, provides private, semi-private and group lessons, as well as wetsuit and surfboard rentals.

Bike Rentals
Also on premises is Beach Cruiser Bicycle, with a large number of bikes available to rent throughout the day. With a selection of bikes for all ages and sizes, including carriers, families can rent bikes by the hour or elect to rent for a half or full day.

Game Zone
The resort offers a video arcade for all ages to enjoy.

Beach
The resort is located directly across the street from Huntington State Beach, providing its own walkway over the Pacific Coast Highway. Beach amenities are offered through the concierge, including umbrellas and chairs. Lunch can be ordered through the resort's various restaurants for picnics.

Family Dining

The Hyatt is more than a hotel; it also has its own conference center. Between the two awaits a lovely courtyard filled with restaurants from casual to grab-and-go to upscale dining. Each restaurant is family-friendly. Room service is available at all hours.

Mankota's Grill
Overlooking the main pool, Mankota's provides poolside and barefoot service, along with evening cocktails and snacks around its fire pit. The grill offers a kids' menu, and it is open seasonally.

Pete's Sunset Grille
For a taste of Southern California, visit Pete's for lunch or dinner and enjoy some of the area's best fish tacos. On Friday and Saturday nights during the summer, the surfer-themed restaurant is the place to be with live music and Taco Nights. The restaurant is open daily from 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Shubee's Bar and Café
In the evening, Shubee's opens for perfect sunset views on the patio, with specialty drinks for mom and dad and the kids. The café is open seasonally.

Surf City Grocers
The hotel's grab-and-go grocery story offers breakfast, lunch and snacks, including Starbucks coffee, pastries, pastas, salads and sandwiches. Families can grab items for a picnic on the beach or S'mores kits for the fire pits available on Huntington Beach. This is also the spot to grab some fresh gelato after a day in the sun. The grocery is open daily, 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Tower 15 Pizzeria
Families love the Hyatt's pizzeria, which provides gourmet pizza by the slice or by the pie. The restaurant provides eat-in, take-out and even delivery to your room, with a menu that extends to salads, sandwiches and pastas. It is open seasonally.

Watertable
The hotel's signature restaurant, Watertable, is rated one of the best in Huntington Beach. Named after its unique water table (it needs to be seen to understand!), the restaurant features a rustic, yet modern décor, with dining available in the restaurant's library, bar, main dining room and outdoors on its patio.

The restaurant provides local and sustainable ingredients on its menus, which include traditional American dishes, Spanish-style tapas and artisanal cheeses. The Bar Jars are unique mason jar-filled appetizers, not to be missed. On Sundays, visit during the day for a fabulous brunch spread, or at night, when the restaurant offers a Southern Supper with a "Meat Plus Three" menu. The restaurant offers a children's menu with a more refined flair to traditional kids' dishes, such as Waffled Grilled Cheeses with tomato soup and a Chopped Salad with roasted chicken. The restaurant serves a breakfast buffet every morning.
