Not up to modern standards

by 167LindaE

Stayed one night of a four day trip to New England. Other nights stayed in modern Holiday Inn with thoughtful room design. This place, the room is large but poorly set up with a huge jacuzzi that we couldn’t care less about, the tv is tiny and too far away from the bed to see, the bathroom is old, the carpet is stained and needs replacing, no place to set suitcases, refrigerator Is sitting on the floor, no microwave- it is in the hotel lobby ??? - tiny supply of shampoo enough for one person. More modern hotels have USB ports bedside, have ample toiletries, have dedicated space for two suitcases, have at least a 46” TV, beautiful tiled bathroom that I’d like in my own home, lighting that you could put makeup on by - it seems like women are neglected in terms of having to sit and apply makeup not just at this place but most hotels. Overall this place needs a total makeover. Restaurant is ok, food pretty good and waitress was nice. Even though hotel has a view of harbor, there is a road in between and it really isn’t very picturesque. Wouldn’t stay again, better options around.

Needs renovation

My husband and I stayed here for one night. I was a little weary due to some of the other reviews but we decided to try it. The Inn needs major repair/ updating. The carpet had stains all over it, tv and jacuzzi tub did not work. The bathroom was not clean, I shouldn’t see other guests hair in the shower/ sink etc. The only plus is the location, as it is very close to the seaport and restaurants / shops.
