Honeymoon/birthday

by hny3819

The service at Creekside was exceptional and can’t say enough about the staff (Joel, Mary Ann, Partap and the entire concierge to name a few). They were friendly, polite, helpful and always available to assist in any way they can, they went over and beyond to make us feel special and make our stay as comfortable as possible and made my hubby’s birthday a very memorable one. We had the most delicious chocolate cake ever!!!!!!!!
Would definitely stay at the hotel again.

Nice place , good location. A few blips

Stayed 4 nights end of October early November. Stayed in one of the club rooms on the 9th ie top floor.
Good stuff: lovely hotel great facilities very helpful staff brilliant breakfast. Two pools , the large and well designed main bar pool on the ground floor, and the roof pool on the 8th floor with a partial glass floor looking down to the reception below.
Our room 3as large and spacious with a brilliant bathroom and views south towards the Mall and Burj Khalifa approx 6 miles away.
Located 800m from the GGICO metro station it’s handy for getting everywhere but as taxis are cheap, approx 35 DJs or £8 to the main Dubai mall transport is inexpensive. There is also a shuttle bus that runs every couple of hours to the mall and on to the Jameirah Beach hotel and the the other group hotel on the Palm.
Staff could not do enough for you, and we had a birthday and anniversary whilst there and found a fresh cake each day left in our room.
We took the Flavours package. Worth it as dinner or lunch each day was included. Dubai is an expensive place to eat and drink.
The not so good stuff:twice in the 4 days stay the roof top bar / pool, was taken out of service at short notice , once for a private party , once for maintenance that was to last 3 days after we left. For the first closure a free entry into a late night new wave music festival was offered....where everyone was under 25 y.o. No thanks. Also there was very little hot water available for shower or bath during the stay. I put this down initially to the roof mounted solar water heater to be too small and the need to shower before all of the hot water was used. Turns out there were significant plumbing issues that have been worked on for weeks that were the root cause.finally the main outside restaurant area was used on the Saturday night for a Diwali event.....very loud bingo calling right through dinner. Unpleasant noise levels to put it mildly/. The hotel is also located next to a main motorway so steady rumble of traffic is head but not to intrusive.
In summary nice hotel nice facilities great Starr a few areas of improvement in guest service delivery and management.
