Not again

by ΒΑΛΑ Α

We stayed at this place for 9days. As a place it was good. We didn't like the behaviour of the man at the front desk. They cleaned our room only two times. They also take from you a quarante and when you leave if your room is not swipp or dirty they keep the money!!! We didn't know exactly when they will come to clean the room so when they came (2d day) we had all of our clothes up to the bed. When we came home we found to women in our room and they were angry cause of our clothes. We ask them to let us know when they will come again and they said after one day so we had the room clean. They didn't came after one day they came after 3 days and the room was again with our clothes,so we had a problem because it is no good to have somebody in your room with your personal things all over the room.I went to the reception to inform them that i will not pay something for all these.and so i did i took all my money back.

The point is that we were there for holidays and relaxing and with their behave they stressed us. I always pay for my stay as much they want but i want to have a clean room and no penalties if something is not so clean (cause i am in holidays not in the army). I have been in Martinique 2 times, this was the worst stay.

Ps.1 At 9 nights stay they cleaned our room only two times(2d day and 5th day). So we were with dirty towels and dirty bed 4 days and temperature was 30 degrees.

Stay Anywhere but Here

by Andrea H

My gosh, where do I begin? Firstly, and grudgingly admittedly, the staff was nice. Our taxi driver advised to stay in Fort de France, but I insisted on staying where I reserved. What a magnanimous error in judgement. It is without a doubt, the worst place I have ever stayed in my life. I have stayed at Super 8s that were nicer, though barely. It was worst than a Super 8, all the tv channels are in french. So what you say! Who cares about tv when the pillows are dirty and sheet have visible crawlies on the covers. Which were better that pulling them back. Dirty looking dingy towels in the bath, and mold in the showers. Broken light fixtures. raggedy decayed furnishings, and instructions to clean my own room or face additional charges in euro no less. I was scared to sleep for something may have crawled in my ears. Here is where Super 8 also rose above this dung heap of lodging, you can leave Super 8 and go elsewhere. Goullette is so far from Fort de France, that you are stuck. "Martinique is not french", exclaimed the server at the bar below that skirted the sub par beach front bragged about. "This is Martinique. It's the Caribbean!" he desperately assured me.
No, no it is not. Stay anywhere but here. Carry your tent and park yourself on the beach. Take refuge in your car. And anywhere in Martinique, bring along you phones chargers with the extension to make it plug into US cords. Crappiest place ever. The poor people who work there. They must know this. They cloak it with kindness. They are kind. I am still itching just sharing the dreadful news.
