TripAdvisor Rating

The King Charles Inn is located in Charleston’s historic district, but is still close to the soft sand beaches along the shore. Enjoy one of the 91 guestrooms or suites, with double, queen or king beds, mini-fridges, coffeemakers, free Wi-Fi and flatscreen TVs.

The hotel has an outdoor pool and terrace for families to relax in during the warm southern days, though the property is also within walking distance of many local attractions.

Onsite dining is available at BREW Pub and Cafe for breakfast and dinner, and an afternoon welcome reception is held daily from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. BREW is open from 6:30 to 10:30 a.m. for breakfast and from 3 to 11 p.m. for evening drinks and snacks.

The King Charles Inn has other great onsite perks for families, including free parking, a fitness center and a business center. Check-in is at 4 p.m. and check-out is at 11 a.m.

Visited for a family wedding. Rooms are adequately sized but housekeeping is terrible. The view from the rooms is terrible air-conditioning is noisy bathroom floor had hair on it just need to refurbish completely and better housekeeping.

This hotel is the perfect place to stay in Charleston. Not too big yet not too small either so you'll experience all the good things about staying in a fancy hotel.

The breakfasts were simple but very nice and the bar was nice place to spend an hour or two in the evening. The staff throughout our stay were very friendly and great at their jobs.

The location is ideal and the free parking was a nice bonus.

The only bad point (and the reason for docking a point off the rating) was the noise of the air conditioner. It was like having a engine running on full blast in the room!
