We were there for 6 days and had a wonderful time. Lots of things to do and went fishing out of key largo sailors choice excursion was pretty good..also went fishing out of Robbie's slayed the fish in night fishing..An unfortunate thing happened at the hotel ..at dusk the no see ums come out and bit me all over my feet and backs of my legs..very nasty bugs ..they need to incorporate several co2 mosquito traps to wipe out these insects. Had no idea how nasty these bites are ..
We only stayed 1 night and didn’t really make full use of the facilities. We did take the kayaks out for an hour which was lovely. The hammocks were a nice touch overlooking the sea. Centrally located for Islamorada and right across road from brewery, and whilst just off highway you didn’t really notice and it was really relaxing environment.
Only downside (and reason for my 3 stars) was mattress in our room (room W) had a hard lump the size of a small rock in it. Not sure how this happens but needs fixing.
