Perfect and cozy location for a getaway.

Very nice property with clean rooms and well cared for grounds. Walked a few feet to a local restaurant on the lake and enjoyed the perfect sunset. Staff was very friendly and made us feel welcome.
we will return for sure.

Nice Place, Disappointed with "Upgrade"

by knowledgeispower2

We love Lake Harmony, and the Lake Harmony Inn is a nice place. It was clean and comfortable. We booked a room with a queen bed directly through their site a few days before our stay, which was for one Saturday night. On the morning we were to check in, I received a call offering us an upgrade to a larger room. I said we wanted to be lake front, which I had requested in the reservation form as well. The person making the offer stated, "none of our rooms are really lakefront, they are lake access. The upgrade is right across the street in the lodge. We call it the lodge." When we got there, what he said was true, and the room we were given did look larger than the rooms in the main inn. It didn't have the same feel as the ones in the main hotel. The rooms in the main inn ARE lakefront and DO have a view of the lake from their little porches, which is what we wanted. When I asked to switch back to our original room, I was told that everything was full and we couldn't change back to our original reservation. It just felt like a scam, not an upgrade. Just in case you book and are offered the "upgrade" (the overgrade as we called it because we feel like they overbooked the rooms and shifted us, or shifted us in order to sell our room at a higher rate) the "lodge" (as they call it) is a new build across the street. It is nice, the rooms are comfortable, but it doesn't have the same vibe as the main hotel does, which was the reason we chose it. If I were offered this same deal again, I wouldn't take it.
